Mesa Glasgow is a brand new addition to Duke Street in the east end and is a perfect spot for brunch. The food has mediterranean flavours (the head chef is from Sardinia) mixed in with Middle Eastern.
Welcome to The Glasgow Food Blog. I love Glasgow, and I love food. It's a match made in heaven.

It tastes great with mushrooms and goats cheese (baked), on pasta, as a dip, on lovely crusty bread as a bruschetta base, a pizza base ... and I'm sure there are many ways I am yet to discover.
Phillies of Shawlands opened in 2018 and I was really excited to see this place back to life. It’s a neighbourhood bar which is relaxed, welcoming and most importantly, dog friendly. 5 stars!
Kaf Coffee is a speciality coffee cafe I’ve visited twice this week and I have a lot of respect and admiration for what they’re doing. Seriously, this menu is epic – you will have a tough time choosing! There’s Scandi plates (meat and vegan), French toast, eggs Benedict, a sandwich and granola.
Happy Friday! It's been a little while between posts so I just wanted to give a quick update about what's been happening and what's coming up! I’m now working at Dear Green Coffee Roasters while still freelancing as a digital marketer on the side and recently had an amazing trip to Jura.
This guide has come about because I was hunting down information for the big, major events in Glasgow this year and couldn't find one. There's so much happening this year that I thought I'd make a version of it here for the blog, in case you're looking for things to do or thinking of visiting Glasgow.
Non Viet on Sauchiehall St serves fresh, vibrant & delicious Vietnamese food. I've tried their takeaway lunch & dinner – I highly recommend it!
Fylkir of Copenhagen popped up on my instagram and I rushed along to visit the next day – a new opening on the southside serving beautiful Danish food? I knew I had to try it ASAP!
Six by Nico is the talk of the town this year in Glasgow – they stormed onto the Finnieston scene with their new restaurant offering a set 6-course menu which changes every 6 weeks.
Pot Luck is one of the hottest new brunch places in Glasgow. It recently opened on Nithsdale Road – if you love all things brunchy, you will absolutely love Pot Luck.
Kimchi Cult in Glasgow's West End have been one of my favourite places to eat for a long time – they do seriously delicious Korean street food. They started out as a pop up, then moved to Glasgow a few years back and into their home on Chancellor Street in the West End.
Drygate is probably one of the places I visit most in Glasgow and yet I realised I don't have a review of it on the blog. It's a brewery, a bar, an event space, a restaurant and a whole lot more, so it's pretty amazing. I'll try to do it justice.
Are there two more beautiful words than Bottomless Brunch? I don't think so. I was pretty damn excited when I heard that McPhabbs were going to be doing a Bottomless Brunch over Easter so made plans to go along.
I've been tweeting all the Glasgow Food News I come across using #GlasgowFoodNews, so I thought I should do a roundup of what's happening around Glasgow here too
Choosing where to go for birthday lunch is a pretty big decision for me, but this year it was pretty simple. We'd been to Alchemilla in December and I was totally blown away by the food, so we booked for lunch on my birthday.
Wine and cheese are two of my favourite things on the planet. But there's not really a wine bar in Glasgow that floats my boat – until now.
Last night I made this risotto and it was seriously delicious. I mean, I love making risotto but this one was definitely one of my all-time best.
Sushi burrito is one of my all-time-favourite things I've ever eaten, but I never expected to find a place doing them in Glasgow. So when I spied Temaki on facebook, I honestly nearly fell off my chair.
I have a passionate love of all things Japanese so when this new ramen place sprung up in the laneway by Bier Halle, I knew I had to get along.
At the moment, Glasgow has some really interesting places which are bringing something totally new to the city, which is quite refreshing. Here's 5 places which have really got me excited.
